Your Daysium Timeline is where you can view and manage all your location entries for day counting. It helps ensure your tax residency records are accurate. Here’s how to navigate and make the most of it.

Accessing the Timeline

To open your Timeline, tap the Timeline icon at the bottom of the Daysium companion app. This will take you to the current day view.

Navigating Dates on the Timeline

  • By default, the Timeline shows today’s events.

  • To view a different date, tap the date at the top of the screen. A calendar view will appear—select your desired date and tap OK.

  • Alternatively, use the small arrows on either side of the date to move forward or backward one day at a time.

Understanding Your Timeline Entries

  • If a past date has no logged events, it will appear as an empty entry, like in the below image:

‼️You can only add manual location entries to the current day. This provides robust data collection which tax inspectors want to see.

Locations: Understanding Locations on the Timeline

As you move from place to place, the timeline is automatically generated with yellow General Locations on your Timeline.

Here’s a quick guide to managing your locations:

  • Tap 'Save' to confirm a Purple Assumed Location.

  • Tap 'Accept' on Yellow General Location, 'Update' it for accuracy, or 'Hide' to remove it from the Timeline.

  • Add evidence to Green Saved Location to strengthen this record.

  • Orange Evidenced Location: This is your strongest proof of presence. If you see an orange card, give yourself a high five—these locations are your best defence in case of an inquiry.

Enhancing Your Timeline Data

By keeping your Timeline updated, you ensure a strong, defensible record of your day counting history.
