Understanding Timeline Colours

Discover what the differently coloured locations on your Daysium Timeline mean.

The Timeline in Daysium provides a clear visual representation of your travel history using different colours to indicate the status of each location entry. Understanding what each colour means helps you create a clear timeline of your movements on that day.

Timeline Colour Meanings

  • Yellow – General Location

    • An automatically generated location in your timeline.

    • This only says your were in the general vicinity of this location, and it protects your privacy.

  • Green – Saved Location

    • A location turns green when you tap ‘Save’ on a Yellow General Location.

    • You are stating that you were at that specific location.

  • Orange – Evidenced Location

    • When you save a location, you have the option to add supporting evidence (e.g., a photo, receipt, or note).

    • Orange indicates that you've attached evidence to a location.

    • You want to add evidence to prove that you were indeed there, not just your phone - learn how here.

  • Grey – Residential Location

    • Daysium's AI detects regular movement patterns to determine residential locations.

    • You can add evidence to these entries, but the colour will always remain grey to indicate a residential pattern rather than a manually saved location.

  • Purple – Assumed Location

    • If no location data is available for a day, Daysium assumes you remained in the last known location.

    • You can 'Accept' an assumed location to turn it into a Green Saved Location or tap 'Change location' to update location data.
